Warning: This is a story about poop. Keep reading if you dare.
Tonight Cooper was chillin' in his booster seat while I prepared dinner for me and Stewart. He started whining and saying "poo-poo". I asked if he wanted to sit on the potty, to which he replied "yes, please." He often says no to the potty, and we're certainly not pushing it. But if he wants to try it, I'm fine with that. I was just going to let him sit on the potty in his diaper, but he asked for "diaper off." He sat there for a while, talking about pee-pee and poo-poo, and even making a few grunting noises for effect. So funny, but ultimately no success. It was only about ten minutes until I was going to get him ready for bed, so I decided to let him just run around bare nudey. (Rookie mistake, I know!!) I really didn't think he had to poop since he had already gone a few times today. But after about five minutes I heard him making some pretty unmistakable sounds. A quick peek confirmed my suspicions, so I scooped him up and sprinted for the potty. But I wasn't quite fast enough, because as I was running, a huge poop dropped, ricocheted off my shin and STUCK TO THE WALL!! And stayed there! Oh geez, I can't even believe I'm admitting this to the world. There is even photo evidence, but I'm going to spare you the pleasure of seeing that. Stewart laughed SO hard when I told him the story after he got home. And he's refusing to delete the (disgusting) picture I sent him on his phone, because he says it's too hilarious to delete.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, we never did get any poop in the potty.
That story is right up there with Will's description of how big his poop was while sitting at the dinner table.(on Angie's blog) I promise you I did not raise my children to think poop was a proper topic for dinner conversation.
Loving all the Cooper stories. He is so adorable.
