I have been collecting "ideas" from Pinterest right and left, but hadn't gotten around to actually doing anything I had found. Until now! I used this tutorial to make a Florida Gator ribbon wreath, which was time consuming but not difficult. I really like how it turned out, and will probably make more for various holidays. I was going to hang it on a ribbon, but the $4 sparkly wreath hanger was hard to pass up. (Thanks, Target Halloween aisle!)
Speaking of Target....I was cleaning out some old receipts last night and Cooper spotted the red bulls-eye on the back of one of them. He pointed to it and gleefully declared "Target!" I used to think it was ridiculous when little kids could identify Starbucks, but this is probably just as bad. He has also started saying "pay a money" when we start heading towards the checkout in a store. Although he still substitutes /m/ for /n/ in the medial position, so it sounds like "pay a mummy." At least it's appropriate for Halloween, right?
Hope ya'll had a good weekend. Cooper and I are currently sharing a cold and trying to get well before we leave on Thursday for South Dakota! Slinks, here we come!
you should sell them!

It turned out beautifully!! (Better than the pin, even!) I repinned the same wreath via Mary just the other day. I love it!
P.S. I used to always cringe when kids would identify 'logos' too. "How consumerist." But really, it's a pre-reading skill!! Symbols have meaning - woot!
P.P.S. Have fun with your buddies in SD & give the gang (even the ones I haven't met) my love!!
P.P.S. Did you notice I got this all in one comment instead of three this time?!

Im impressed, Bri! Although I like it when you comment multiple times. Makes me feel like my blog is more read than it actually is. :-)

I made my 3rd pinterest craft this past weekend. I love that it's keeping my creative itches scratched!!
And I really love your wreath. I want to come see it in person :)
